LOCATION: 4200 blk of Pepper Drive
CITY: San Diego
INCIDENT DETAILS:

The suspect stole a car from a house on Pepper Drive.
The owner of the stolen car sees the car and the suspect on Tuberose St (one block away).
The owner confronts the suspect, and the suspect pulls out a 6″ combat knife and threatens the owner.
The suspect runs down an alley and the victim calls the Police.
The Police set up a perimeter and a 9-year-old boy tells Police the man is inside his house.
The Police get the parents out of the house, without knowing a 1-year-old girl is still inside.
The 9-year-old boy (Luis Gutierrez) attempted to get through the Police officers to go back into the house and rescue his sister.
The Police officers went inside and retrieved the little girl, and sent went back into the house with a K-9.
The K-9 found the suspect and bit him.
The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
The suspect is also suspected of being the influence of something.
